It’s Sunday and it’s time for London Cocktail Week to draw to a close. I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last few days checking out what has been going on, and this is just a quick recap of some of the highlights of my trip.
Hendrick’s put on a stunning show, transforming an old petrol station into a tranquil haven in Clerkenwell. In a private event, ‘The Quintessential Anthology of Gin’, myself and some fellow companions were able to taste Hendrick’s in all it’s parts. From the carterhead still product, along to Hendricks at 80%ABV and even a sneaky tasting of Battersea Cordial!
The Zacapa seminar with Lorena Vasquez, the master blender, was a great delight and was followed by Glen Hooper talking about reviving the digestif with Rum.
Those folks at Hendrick’s have decided to decamp to London Cocktail Week for the um, week. They appear to be having some amazing events planned, which all have rather adjective filled titles. I’m in attendance for part of the week and shall hopefully be attending the Anthology of Gin, along with a Hendrick’s & Tonic [...]
Yesterday was a good day for ‘free things’, not only did I get sent a set of glasses from The Dorchester (more on that later) I also received something from the lovely curious folks at Hendrick’s. It caught me slightly off guard, wondering how the fine fellows had managed to obtain my actual address. Were those cucumber wielding children of mother’s ruin spying upon me?
Those that know me, know that I do enjoy my Gin, and one brand that I do like a lot is Hendrick’s. Especially due to their quirky marketing and events, and I’m pleased to say that they have done it again, with their Horseless Carriage
