Hidden Gems: Serpentine Gin Bar, Hyde Park

Drinking. In a park. No brown bags needed!

Gin Bar - Serpentine - Hyde Park

If we were based in London, we’d be over to Hyde Park searching out for this Gin Bar. This is a classic van, setup to serve Gin based drinks. [mainly mixers, rather than cocktails, but I'm happy with that!].

Thanks to the lovely girls over at Domestic Sluttery for reminding us of this, as well as some Twitter folks last weekend!

Have you been? Going? Let us know what it’s like!

I went last week but due to my mistaking the closing time by an hour I missed it.

Another attempt is being made this weekend (gin and ping pong on a sunday afternoon – what could be nicer?) so will report back then.

So finally went to the Gin Bar tonight – stunning location on the eastern edge of the Serpentine, lovely variations on classic G&T, an interesting if limited gin range and lovely lovely barman who was happy to mix up what you wanted (though no cocktails as such). BUT its disappointingly set in the terrace of the exisiting Serpentine Bar and Kitchen and not in some hidden, bosky dell.

    Kate,

Thanks for letting us know, pity it’s not truly hidden away but I may hunt it out this week as I’m down in London.
